লিটারেচার নির্বাচন:
লিটারেচার রিভিউ রিসার্চ প্রবলেম নির্ণয় সাহায্য করে। গবেষক নিজের আগ্রহের বিষয়াবলী পাঠে মনোনিবেশ করেন। এরপর ক্রমশ নিজের বেছে নেওয়া বিষয়গুলির প্রাসঙ্গিক পত্রপত্রিকা ও পুস্তক গুলিকে বাছাই করেন। অর্থাৎ বহু স্টক পত্র-পত্রিকা থেকে তিনি একটি পত্র-পত্রিকার তালিকা তৈরি করেন। এই তালিকার মধ্যে থেকে প্রয়োজনের নিরিখে অগ্রাধিকার ভিত্তিক পত্র-পত্রিকার তালিকা তৈরি করেন। এবং সেগুলির সূচিপত্র ঘেঁটে নিজের প্রয়োজনীয় বিষয় গুলি পাঠে মনোনিবেশ করেন।
গ্রন্থাগারের সহায়তা:
গবেষককে জানতে হবে তার অঞ্চলের কোন কোন লাইব্রেরী তার প্রয়োজনীয় পুস্তকে সমৃদ্ধ। সেই লাইব্রেরী গুলিতে যেতে হবে পুস্তক পাঠ ও সংগ্রহের জন্য। হার্ডকপি বা সবকটিতে ক্যাটালগ দেখে প্রাসঙ্গিক পুস্তকের নাম, লেখক এর নাম, ও ক্যাটালগ নাম্বার লিখে নিতে হবে। এতে পত্র-পত্রিকা পুস্তক সংগ্রহে সুবিধা হবে।
জার্নাল পাঠ:
জার্নাল পাঠের জন্য হার্ডকপি ও সফট কপি জার্নাল উভয়ই প্রয়োজন হবে। ইমপ্যাক্ট ফ্যাক্টর (Impact factor) ভালো আছে এমন উন্নত মানের জার্নালগুলি, তা দেশের মধ্যের হোক বা আন্তর্জাতিক প্রকাশনা হোক যত বেশি সংখ্যক পড়া যায় তত গবেষণার ধারণা প্রশস্ত হবে, তত তত্ত্ব ও তথ্যের মিল লক্ষ্য করা যাবে ।
লিটারেচার রিভিউ এর প্রয়োজনীয় নির্দেশনা:
- পাঠ করা বইগুলি থেকে মূল জ্ঞাতব্য বিষয় গুলি লিখে বা টাইপ করে রাখা ও পুস্তকের রেফারেন্স লিখে রাখা।
- যে বক্তব্য গুলি নিজের লেখার ব্যবহার করা যেতে পারে সেগুলির উদ্ধৃতি বা সাইটেশন (citation) করার মতো (অর্থাৎ কোট , পৃষ্ঠা নম্বর, পুস্তকের নাম, প্রকাশকের নাম, প্রকাশনার বছর এবং প্রকাশনা শহরের নাম লিখে রাখা) করে লিখে রাখা।
- এক একটি বই থেকে সাইটেশন এর জন্য লেখা অনুচ্ছেদ ধরে পৃষ্ঠা ক্রম অনুসারে লিখে রাখলে পরে যেকোনো সময় মূল বইয়ের উক্ত পাতা সহজে খুঁজে পাওয়া যাবে।
- লিটারেচার রিভিউ করা বই গুলির নাম ধরে বক্তব্য লেখা বা প্রয়োজনীয় পাঠ লিখে রাখার পাশাপাশি এতগুলি বই পড়ে যে সামগ্রিক জ্ঞান লাভ বা ধারণা তৈরি হলো তার বর্ণনা গুরুত্বসহকারে লিখে রাখা দরকার, যা রিপোর্ট প্রস্তুতিতে সাহায্য করতে পারে।
- সাইটেশন না লাগলেও যে পুস্তক বা জার্নালটি থেকে গবেষণার বিষয়ে সুনির্দিষ্ট ধারণা পাওয়া গেছে সেগুলির বিবলিওগ্রাফি প্রয়োজন হয়। যা রিপোর্ট রাইটিং এর শেষে কাজে লাগে।
সাহিত্য পর্যালোচনার গুরুত্ব:
- অনুসন্ধানী প্রশ্ন বা Research question (অর্থাৎ এ প্রশ্নটির উত্তর অনুসন্ধান গবেষণার উপজীব্য সেই প্রশ্নটি) বুঝতে সাহায্য করে লিটারেচার রিভিউ।
- এটি ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের বা গবেষকের research problem বা সমস্যা নিয়ে গবেষণা করা হচ্ছে, সেই বিষয় সম্পর্কে জ্ঞানের আলোকপাত করে গবেষকদের ধারণা স্বচ্ছতা এনে দেয় এবং সঠিক রিসার্চ প্রবলেমটি বেছে নিতে সাহায্য করে।
- বিস্তারিত লিটারেচার রিভিউ এর ফলে একই কাজের পুনরাবৃত্তি যাতে না ঘটে সে বিষয়ে সতর্ক থাকা যায়।
- এটি রিসার্চ মেথডলজি কি ব্যবহার করবে তা বুঝতে সাহায্য করে পূর্বের কৃত গবেষণাধর্মী বিভিন্ন কাজকর্মের যে পদ্ধতি বা মেথডোলজি প্রয়োগ করা হয়েছে সেগুলো সম্পর্কে সুস্পষ্ট ধারণা হয় এবং কি ধরনের পদ্ধতি বা মেথডোলজি উপযুক্ত নির্ণয় করতে সাহায্য করে।
- এটি পূর্ববর্তী গবেষকদের ভুলটি সম্পর্কে বর্তমান গবেষক কে অবগত কোরে।
